Crisis services can be utilized to prevent the removal of the child(ren) and the family centered practice of home-based services is the best avenue to provide crisis services.
These crisis services are for families who have children at imminent risk of removal. Imminent risk is defined as: immediate threat of injury or harm to a child when no interventions have occurred to protect the child. The goal is to resolve the immediate crisis, prevent removal of the child, and to transition and/or link the family to needed services.
Ireland Home Based Services is available to provide crisis intervention services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, our staff can be available to meet with a family in crisis within one hour of receiving a referral. A summary of the intervention will be sent to the referring worker within 24 hours.
