DCS Transition from Restrictive Placement

Transitional from Restrictive Placement (TRP) is a provision of services to assist children in a more restrictive placement to a less/least restrictive placement. TRP is a court-ordered program for youth adjudicated to a CHINS or JD/JS. The purpose of the program is to prevent the return of the youth to a more restrictive setting/placement.


Home-based services include (but are not limited to) the following:


  •     Home assessment
  •     Child development education
  •     Educational transition service
  •     Vocational services
  •     Conflict management
  •     Addiction education
  •     Parent education/training
  •     Family communication
  •     Assistance with transportation
  •     Family reunification
  •     Family assessment
  •     Community referrals and follow-up
  •     Behavior modification
  •     Budgeting/money management
  •     Emergency/crisis services


Minimum Qualifications:


A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a directly related human service field.
