Community Partners for Child Safety

Community Partners for Child Safety is a voluntary, free service to help parents and children. The main goal of Community Partners for Child Safety is to keep children safe from abuse and neglect and to provide support for the families. Parenting can be a struggle and at times assistance is needed. Community Partners for Child Safety can be that assistance through difficult times.

Who is eligible for Community Partners?

Families who reside in Vanderburgh, Posey, Warrick, Gibson, Pike, or Knox Counties. Families who reside in Dubois, Daviess, Spencer, Orange, Perry, Monroe, Brown, Crawford, Owen, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Decatur, Ripley, Dearborn, Ohio, Switzerland, Jefferson, Scott, Clark, Floyd, Harrison and Washington Counties will be eligible. The children and families cannot have an open case with child protection services.

Families may self-refer or be referred by another person or agency.

What are the services available?

  • Home Based Therapy
  • Home Based Casework
  • Community Resourcing

All services provided are home-based services including on-call availability, crisis intervention counseling, support and advocacy services, prevention support services, and referrals to resources and supports within the community. Three goals are developed as a part of the family case plan. Services provided through the Community Partners Program can last for up to three months but the service may end earlier if the goals are reached.
